EVR100
Wireless N Security VPN Router with Gigabit Switch
EnGenius EVR100 Wireless N Security VPN Router is an 802.11n compliant high speed wireless router with gigabit switches. It supports up to 300Mbps in speed, and has 6 times greater coverage than 802.11g devices.

The EVR100 provides two types of virtual private network (VPN) tunnels, Internet Protocol Security (IPSec) and Layer 2 Tunneling Protocol (L2TP over IPSec). It supports up to 5 IPSec VPN tunnels and 1 L2TP VPN tunnel simultaneously. It features the business-class VPN encryption algorithms to seamlessly secure your network, while enjoying the benefits of high-speed surfing and sensitive data transmission from remote locations.

The EVR100 supports the advanced SPI Firewall, denial of service (DoS) attack blocking, MAC filtering, and URL filtering, further optimizing the security of your network connections.

It applies WEP / WPA / WPA2 standards in network security to prevent unauthorized access.

The user friendly VPN Wizard simplifies the installation, and the web-based interface streamlines the configuration.

The EVR100 is ideal for small-office and home-office (SOHO) users.

General FAQs

IPSec and L2TP
EVR100 can support up to 5 IPSec VPN tunnels as well as 1 L2TP VPN Tunnel simultaneously. It supports industry level IPSec encryption such as 3DES, AES128, AES192, and AES256 and authentication MD5 and SHA1. In L2TP, it supports the authentication of CHAP and PAP.
It supports PPTP, L2TP, and IPSec VPN Passthrough.
There are two ways to setup VPN tunnels. You can use Wizard or Profile Setting to get started. Wizard is an ease of use design to setup VPN in just step 1-2-3. If you are advanced users, and would like to setup different encryption algorithms and authentication levels, you can select Profile Setting to setup VPN tunnels.
Yes, you will need to change the LAN IP address of one of the two EVR100. The default IP address of EVR100 is 192.168.0.1. You can change one of the LAN IP into 192.168.x.1 (x can be 1~254) to prevent from IP conflict.
If connecting directly to a host device such as a Windows PC or Apple device, choose L2TP over IPSec.

If creating a site to site link between two EVR100 devices or other VPN gateway, choose IPSec.
The Local Address refers to the IP Network address on your side of the Site to Site connection.

The Remote Address refers to the IP Network address at the location that you wish to access network resources.

These are both private IP addresses and not to be confused with the Gateway Address.
This is the public IP address assigned by the ISP. It can be either a static or dynamic setting.
A Shared Secret is the password used to authenticate in order to establish a VPN connection. This must match on the devices of each end of the VPN tunnel.
These settings simply help identify the device on the other end.

You can see the VPN connection status in the Status under VPN. The Blue profiles are configured properly and details are shown for Transmit Packets, Received Packets, and Uptime. Red profiles indicate profiles have setup problems.
EVR100 supports advanced SPI firewall, Denial of Service (DoS) attack blocking, MAC filtering, URL filtering to secure your high speed network connection.
