The needs of surveillance are various from different applications. It is critical to provide reliable, high-quality video streaming at distances, real-time monitor and recover the surveillance in case of the camera down, or keep the power supply during Switch firmware upgrading. EnGenius offers a series of Switches designed for surveillance with advanced PoE features to overcome all inconveniences.
The EnGenius Switch can extend the deploying range of PoE cable up to 250* meters using the original Cat5e cable while providing a sufficient speed for data transmission, which significantly improves the case of traditional PoE deploying range that can only extend the cable distance to 100 meters.
The EnGenius Switch uses intelligent LLDP technology to real-time monitor the status of camera. Once the camera stop working and does not respond to the Switch, the Switch will automatically cut off then resume the PoE power to reboot the camera, which makes the surveillance management more easily.
EnGenius surveillance Switch can continue to supply PoE power to keep IP camera in operation without interruption of the Switch rebooting during Switch firmware upgrading, making the security monitoring have no time gap.
