The resort is located in Senggigi, Indonesia, one of several popular tourist strips on the island of Lombok stretching for several miles along the beachfront just to the north of the Mataram capital.
The Need
Initially, the 25-acre Kayana Lombok Resort had seen some wear over the years and did not have adequate Wi-Fi coverage for the property.
Management made the decision to undertake a comprehensive refurbishment of the entire resort and deploy a new Wi-Fi infrastructure capable of delivering seamless, uninterrupted connectivity for both staff and guests. The project included wireless coverage across the beach and hillside residences, private villas, swimming pools, wellness facilities, restaurants, and surrounding beachfront areas, ensuring reliable connectivity throughout the property.
Administrators also wanted a solution that allowed fast deployment and configuration as well as centralized network management of network devices for monitoring and troubleshooting.
The Solution
After some consideration, resort management settled on the ezMaster network management suite, complete with a large deployment of indoor and outdoor access points and several gigabit PoE+ switches provided with no license or subscription fee.
Network products consisted of the following:
• 62 x Wi-Fi 5 managed wireless indoor access points
• 4 x L2+ 24-port managed gigabit 410W PoE+ network switches • 1 x L2+ 8-Port managed gigabit 130W PoE+ network switches
The Result
Following the successful configuration, deployment, and validation of the new network infrastructure, resort guests and staff immediately benefited from seamless, property-wide wireless connectivity. Reliable, high-speed coverage is now available across the entire resort, enabling a superior digital experience without interruption.
