How do I go Pro?
Simply go to “Organization” (building icon), click on “Inventory & License,” select “License” at the top, and click “Switch to PRO.”


What is Basic?
Basic defines and provides a ton of features in our cloud solution that are used in most network installations for access points and switches. Basic is the default mode in our cloud management solution.


What is Pro?
Pro defines and enables a set of advanced features within our cloud solution. Pro includes both Basic and Pro features. The added advanced features are introduced for large scale network installations in multi-family units, student housing, hotels, colleges, universities and in other large deployments.


What is the difference between Basic and Pro?
Pro expands on some of the basic features (e.g., voucher services increase from 100 users to unlimited users, Team Members increases from 5 to unlimited) and adds in advanced features for use in large user environments such as multi-family units, student housing, hotels, colleges, and universities. These advanced features require a lot of computing resources, and this is why they are a part of the Pro license.


What is the cost for EnGenius Cloud Pro License?
The cost has not been determined for all devices, but licensing will be per year per device.


What is the cost of Pro License for an access point?
The cost has not been determined, but we are estimating around $50 MSRP per year for a single access point.


What is the cost of Pro License for a switch?
The per license cost for switches has not been determined, but it will be an annual license per switch.


Does the license cost change by type of device?
(Such as an 8-port vs 24-port switch) The per license cost for switches has not been determined, but it will be an annual license per switch.


When will the Pro license go into effect?
Once we officially launch the Pro license all of our customers will receive 1 year free. Customers will pay the licensing fees when that free year ends.


When will the Pro license be launched?
We estimate the launch of the Pro license to be November 2021. All cloud customers will receive 1 year free. Customers that choose to move forward with Pro will pay the licensing fees when that free year ends.


How will the Pro license be sold?
The Pro license will be sold through our traditional channel, similar to how hardware is sold.


Will I be able to make money from selling the Pro license?
Yes, the Pro license will be sold very similar to how hardware like access points and switches are sold.


Will the Pro license be sold direct to customers?
The Pro license will be sold through our traditional channel, similar to how hardware is sold.

What are the main differences with the Pro license?
Basic provides a very large feature set that most customers use every day. Pro enhances several features like “Team Members” (more than 5 team members), “Cloud Radius” (more than 100 users), and “Voucher Service” (more than 100 users) and adds in advanced features such as “Network Backup & Restore,” “Client Timeline,” “Scheduled Weekly Reporting,” “MyPSK,” “Dynamic VLAN Pooling,” “Export Client List,” and “Dynamic VLAN.”


Will the Pro license be applied to the Organization or Network level?
The Pro license will be applied to the “Organization” level. The “Organization” level is the highest level within the cloud hierarchy.


Can I have a combination of organizations that are Basic and Pro?
Yes. As an MSP, you can offer Basic or Pro Cloud management services to organizations and companies as needed. For example, a coffee shop, law firm, or dentist office might only need Basic Cloud, but a large university or concert venue will likely need Pro.
